Our Process

1

Pre-Design

At Restructure Studio, we believe in a thorough pre-design process to ensure we understand your property’s possibilities and limitations before design begins. We’ll review zoning, permitting and deed restrictions and get you started gathering inspiration images to help

fine tune a program / scope of work on which to begin design.

2

Schematic Design Phase

Once your program is final, we will propose plan options and complete revisions to the selected plan until it meets your needs. At the conclusion of schematic design, you will have a preliminary Pricing Set of drawings to begin shopping your design with potential general contractors for an estimated construction budget.

3

Design Development + Construction Documents

Design Development encompasses all remaining design, including the building out of additional details that will help your GC refine their estimated budget numbers, permitting (if required), interior selections for the fixtures and finishes that will complete your home, as well as construction drawings and details that your GC will need for a successful build.

4

Construction Observation

Includes site visits by the Architect and/or Interior Designer to review work for design intent and consult with your GC at critical junctures during construction. Our participation during this phase saves money by catching tricky details, unforeseen circumstances and details that can be overlooked by the subcontractors before they become a problem.
